ADMISSION & WITHDRAWAL

Admission

New admissions will be made subject to the vacancies. The Principal has the absolute right to interview the applicant and parents and decide on admission.

A child who enrols in KG or Std. I will have to produce an official Birth Certificate from such as the Municipal Corporation or Baptism Certificate in support of the Date of Birth entered in the admission form.
According to government regulation only pupils who have completed 6 years on 30th Sept. of the year of admission can be admitted to standard I, and a corresponding scale of ages is fixed for the subsequent standards
A child coming from a recognised school will be admitted only when a School Leaving Certificate from the school he/she has last attended is produced.
In case of student coming from outside Maharashtra State the school leaving certificate must be countersigned by the Educational Inspector of the area of the state (Grant-in-aid-22.1) It must bear the recognition number of the school.
A child who has attended a private non-recognised school must produce an affidavit for the same and produce the School Leaving Certificate from the last school attended and has to get a letter from the Department of Education. A child coming from an non-recognised school will have to appear for admission test and qualify. The Principal's decision about the assignment to the class fit for, will be final and binding. However confirmation of his/her admission rests with the Education Inspector. (Grant-in-act-code no. 24.2)
Admission shall ordinarily be made in the first month of academic year.

On admission parents/guardians will be provided with the school handbook, which prescribes rules of discipline.

Withdrawal

Parent/Guardians applying for leaving certificate must submit the application form provided in the school handbook.
One calendar month's notice is to be given before the withdrawal, failing which one additional month's fee will be charged.
Those applying for leaving certificate in the month of April, must pay the fee for the month of May also.
Leaving certificate will be granted only to those who have fully settled their fee.
No fee will be charged for leaving certificate if applied for within one year from the date of leaving the school. After this period, a fee of Rs 10/- may be charged. Fee of Rs 50/- will also be charged for the duplicate copy of leaving certificate.
Duplicate School leaving certificate will be issued only after producing an affidavit sworn in front of a magistrate, however the Principal's decision in this matter will be final.
School Leaving Certificate will be issued only after the Parent/ Guardian applies for the same after duly filling in the Leaving Certificate Form provided in the school Hand Book. The L. C. will be issued ten days after the application date.
School Leaving Certificate applied for after April 15th will be issued in the month of June on payment of June fees and Ist Term Fees.
School Leaving Certificate will not be issued until all pending dues of the school have been cleared.
In case of request fora duplicate of the School Leaving Certificate the parent or guardian will have to produce an affidavit stating therein the need for a duplicate certificate along with reason. A fee will be charged for a duplicate School Leaving Certificate.
No fees shall be charged for School Leaving Certificate if applied for within a year from the date of leaving the school. After this period a fee will be charged.

Rules & Regulations

Irregular attendance, habitual negligence in work, dishonesty, obscenity in word or act, insubordination, serious misconduct or threats, even outside the school, are sufficient reasons for dismissal.
Any student who is persistently insubordinate or is repeatedly or wilfully mischievous, or is guilty of gross malpractice in connection with an examination or of unauthorized alterations in a mark sheet or leaving certificate, or who in the opinion of the Principal, has an unwholesome influence on his/her fellow students may be removed from the rolls.
Any student Caught indulging in any form of malpractice during the examination will be prohibited from continuing to appear for the said paper and will not be allotted any marks for the same. He/She will not be allowed to attend the subsequent paper too.

Bus Rules & Regulations

Bus Stops
- All students should be at their respective bus stop at least 5-10 minutes before the scheduled time.
- During the first few days of the new academic year, please bear with time variations (if any) until bus services run smoothly.
- Parents are responsible for their children until they have boarded and after they have disembarked from the school bus.
- Pre-primary and Primary school children will not be allowed to disembark from the bus unless an adult is present at the bus stop to accompany them Exceptions can only be made after the parents have provided a written waiver, stating that they will accept responsibility of the child after he/she has disembarked from the bus.
- If the parent has made arrangements with a neighbour, friend, other parent, etc. to pick up the child/children, please inform the Transportation Office in writing and include a photograph of the person authorized to collect the child/children. The bus driver will be provided with a copy of the letter and the photograph to ensure that the child is met by an authorized adult at all times.
Missing the Bus
- Students are advised to wait at the bus stop for at least 5 - 10 minutes, especially during bad weather conditions, before calling the school.
- Should a student miss the bus or decide to use public transportation, it will be the responsibility of the student/parent to inform the School about his / her late arrival.
- Students and parents are required to be punctual. Delays affect the entire bus route and all the other passengers on the bus

- If a parent fails to reach the stop on time, the student(s) will remain on the bus. The student will be brought back to school, and the parents will make arrangements to collect the child.
Emergency Closing
- If the school has to remain closed due to adverse weather conditions, decisions to halt the bus service will be made between the hours of 6.00 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. (for the Morning shift) or between 10.30 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. (for the Afternoon shift) The decision will be made on the basis of the information gathered from police stations, Education Dept., News and Weather Forecasts regarding road conditions.
- If the information suggests that a majority of students cannot be transported safely to school with the school buses, bus service will be cancelled and the school will remain closed.
- Delays in the bus services are to be expected when weather conditions are poor. All parents should have very clear contingency plans for their children in case of delays.
- In case the bus is delayed for more than 30 minutes, parents must have an alternate plan for their child's pick up / drop.
- If the weather conditions force the school to cancel the bus service for the return journey, parents will have to pick up their children from school.
- Bus students will not be sent home on their own under any circumstances.
- Information concerning emergency holidays and delays can be obtained by calling the school on the school telephone numbers or by visiting the school website.
- We herewith remind all the parents that they are ultimately responsible for decidind whether or not to send their children to school , particulary when condition are potentially hazardous, no matter what the decision of the school may be.

FEES INFORMATION

Payement of Fees

Term fees must be paid in June and October.
The school fees must be paid in advance before the 15th of each month.
Late payment of fees after 15th of each month the school will levy a charge of Rs.25 per month. In the 3rd month late fee charge will be Rs. 60/- for 3 consecutive months.
Non-payment of fees for three consecutive months renders a student liable to have his/her name struck off the roll.
5.Fees for the month of April and May must be paid by the 15th of March prior to the final exam or else Fine forApril & May will be taken.
Students shall not be allowed to appear for Unit Tests and Examinations unless all fees are paid.
Std. X student is required to pay fees up to May in the month of December.
No deduction in fees will be allowed for vacations or for broken period. Full month's fee will be payable if the student's name appears in the roll on the first day of the month.

School Bus Fees

The school provides bus service to the students only when there is an availability of seats. The offer can be withdrawn anytime by the school authority.
The students will board and alight only at fixed bus stops. Parents and students are requested not to ask the driver/attendant to stop the buses at unauthorised bus stops.
Parents are not permitted to change bus stops.
Children found misbehaving in the bus will not be allowed to continue availing the bus facility.
5.Fees for the month of April and May must be paid by the 15th of March prior to the final exam or else Fine forApril & May will be taken.
Bus fees must be paid along with the other fees. In case if someone fails to do so, a separate charge of Rs. 20 will be levied per month.
Bus fees will be charged for all the twelve months of the year.
No termination of bus facility is permitted at any time.
Bus fees forApril and May must be paid with March bus fee.
Incase of change ofAddress ortelephone Number, parents should inform the school office immediately.
Students must have their BUS ID Card while boarding the School Bus or else they will not be allowed to enterthe bus.
In case of any Bus complaints, the parents must contact the school office immediately and give the complaint in writing in the complaint book.
In case of any fight between the parents and the Bus employees, the school is not responsible for the same

The Parents must submit bus consent form for the next academic year by Feb. month. Admitting to follow the above rules & regulations.

CLASS MONITOR ELECTION

Students participated for the class monitor elections.

Beautiful posters were presented by the candidates to appeal for votes from their classmates.

Students casted their vote for the new class monitor for the academic year 2020-21 to the deserving candidates with strong and positive leadership qualities.

Candidates with the maximum votes won and got the responsibility of leading as an active team member of the respective class.

This process brings social awareness and responsibility among the students and also allows them to understand the Power of Vote for their future life.

Activity Day 1 English Elocution Competition 22 June 2020

Winners were rewarded with certificates of excellence on the basis of their confidence, content, fluency and originality.

Such activities boost up the hidden talents and removes out the fear of public speaking leading to students becoming confident speakers in the future.

National Tree Plantation Day 1 July 2020

With a promise to take care of the mother nature, students participated in plantation activities at their home gardens. Students were shown presentations displaying the importance of trees in our lives and how we humans cannot survive without them. Students were made to understand and realise about their duties towards mother nature and the need of making Earth a safe place to live for the future generations.

Students shared beautiful photos displaying their green family at home - The plants, flowers and trees.

WORLD ZOONOSES DAY_ 6 JULY 2020

World Zoonoses day is observed every year on 6 July to emphasize on the awareness of the problems, sources related to zoonoses diseases and to teach everyone the right actions and precautions to be taken. Team MMHS spent their time and efforts for the same where students highlighted all the informations on the topic ZOONOSES DISEASES through attractive posters, beautiful mini books, great write-ups and power point presentations!!!! These mediums helped them recognize and understand all about Zoonoses disease. Such activities boost maximum awareness and also develops the creative skills of students leading to becoming confident representatives in future!!!

INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2020-21

Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life!!!!

To inculcate such leadership qualities in the students we provide them with various important roles and responsibilities being a student, giving them lifelong experiences which would prepare them to be great leaders in their future life, We at MMHS conduct yearly Investiture ceremony to give students the feeling of responsibility and recognize their importance being a part of this strong institution. Students are appreciated for their achievement of various positions in the school for this academic year namely the school head boy, the school head girl, the sports and cultural secretaries, the prefects and the monitors. They pledge and take oath to work for the wellbeing of their school mates with the cooperation of teachers. The Principal of the school Mrs. Sushma Mestha guides, motivates and encourages students to realise their roles and make the most of this experience!

STUDENTS at MMHS celebrated Literature day with full fun and dedication. Literature connects students with wider ideas and concepts. It gives them the opportunity to record their thoughts, ideas and creativity in a visual format through various means. It boosts up their imagination power. It gives them a better understanding. Students were shown power point presentations describing the importance of literature in our lives. Various forms of literature and how we can engage ourselves in this field. Students were encouraged to make amazing posters and collage books to display concepts in a creative way. Let's salute the nation on this auspicious day.🇮🇳

Independence day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at Mount Mary High School.

The flag hoisting ceremony was held in the school ground by The Trustee and The Principal of the school.

The Students of MMHS had prepared various activities for this special day with the guidance of their teachers on virtual classes. Activities like Art work on National symbols, Card making, poster making, speeches, singing, essay writing, instrumental performances were presented by the students on the themes INDIAN WOMEN, INDIAN SCIENTISTS AND INDIAN FREEDOM FIGHTERS.

Students displayed their talents in an attractive way.

These activities filled the entire MMHS Team with pure patriotism.

Students gave various speeches in 3 different languages English, Hindi and Marathi on the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters and took a pledge that we would serve our motherland India with heart, body and soul to bring it glory with our dignified deeds.

The School Principal Mrs.Sushma Mestha addressed the gathering on virtual meet by her motivational lines for the students and teachers.

The programme concluded up with the vote of thanks.

Indeed it was a day of joy, love and respect for our country.
